Pikes Peak Veterinary Clinic sees a number of exotic animals including rabbits, ferrets, sugar gliders, hedgehogs and other small mammals, as well as pet lizards, snakes, turtles and tortoises. We have two doctors who will treat domestic fowl such as ducks, turkeys, geese and chickens

While we can occasionally see a parrot, parakeet or other exotic bird, to be sure you get excellent care, we recommend you get established with Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital. Once you are established, they should be able to help you in an emergency as well as with general care. 


Colorado House Rabbit Society:  Affectionate, litter-trained, spayed or neutered rabbits available for adoption; education for rabbit owners. 


Colorado Reptile Humane Society:  Located in Longmont, adopts out reptiles. 
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo:  Our local zoo, Pikes Peak Vet has helped treat some of their animals. 
Pikes Peak Community College Zoo Keeping Technology Degree Program - For people interested in a degree working with zoo animals.
